We’ve been through this before. We went seven games with Houston when we won the title in 2009, and we went the full five games with Sacramento when we won the title in 2000. The Lakers may rest all of their starters except Kobe, using this game as a way to see how the younger players perform going into the playoffs.
Of course Kobe has downplayed the talk of a scoring title saying that it “was not very important,” but I kind of think he’d like to have it.
Do you think Kobe should go for the scoring title in tonight’s game, especially if he starts alongside a possible lineup of Darius Morris, Devin Ebanks, Jordan Hill, and Josh McRoberts?
